The Vision For 80 Churches
A Reaching Out Ministry
The Vision for Church Multiplication
VISION
By God’s leading and power a network of 80 new, small (typically 20-50 members), intentionally multiplying, New Testament churches meeting outside of traditional church buildings, forms, and structures will be planted by the end of 2030 to reach many for Christ who are presently outside of God’s Kingdom.
These churches will trace their lineage to the Lake Ridge Baptist Church, which is a vibrant lighthouse for Christ in her community that loves, serves, and plants churches alongside the growing family of churches in this Kingdom Ridge Church Network (“KRCN”).
GOAL
80 churches by 2030!
EXPLANATION
Lake Ridge Baptist Church will continually identify, equip, and commission disciple-making disciples who will faithfully follow God’s calling on their lives to advance His Kingdom either by taking the church where it currently isn’t or by serving as transformational leaders within the established congregation of LRBC. Much of that equipping will take place through a year-long discipleship Thrive Group called “The Vine and Branches” built on the teachings and principles of John 15:1-11.
We will endeavor, in God’s Spirit, to establish a continually multiplying network of non-traditional churches gathering in homes, community centers, places of business, and/or schools. These will be intentionally designed to be New Testament churches with an Acts 2 emphasis on worship, fellowship, prayer, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. Church multiplication must be based on biblical principles and will rely on prayer, the power and work of the Holy Spirit, and the faithful obedience of planting teams rather than large financial outlays.
Please forget any pre-existing notion you have of traditional “large launch” church planting. Don’t think of church as a group of people meeting in a fancy building. Begin to think of church as Kingdom communities gathering and spreading the gospel just as we see in Acts. These churches will be intentionally simple and focused on practicing Five to Thrive together. They don’t require much money, a dedicated building, or a massive planting team. The biblical pattern consists of a handful of biblically qualified leaders and sincerely committed Christ-followers with a passion for the gospel and sacrificial obedience to the Great Commission.
