This week marks the transition away from Paul’s detailed argumentation on behalf of the gospel of Christ to his amazing portrait of gospel living empowered by the Holy Spirit found in the final two chapters of Galatians. Paul recaps the importance of vigilantly protecting the freedom Christ purchased with His blood and the importance of rejecting any urge to “add” to the finished work of Christ on the cross, so that we might enjoy the assurance of our righteousness through faith.
