  • God Responded to Human Rebellion By Promising to Send His Son to Be Our King
    • The world’s ongoing rebellion against God and His will is described (verses 1-3)
    • God’s response includes contempt AND His Son, Jesus, our King (verses 4-9)
    • All nations are invited to submit to God’s Son, the King (verses 10-12)
  • Celebrate What’s Already True In Christ’s Kingdom; Anticipate What’s coming
    • This psalm highlights the kingship of Jesus through both first and second Advents
    • Celebrate what’s true because of the first Advent (Revelation 12:5)
    • Anticipate what’s coming with the second Advent (Revelation 19:15)
  • Accept and Extend God’s Invitation to Love His Son
    • Have you accepted the good news and embraced the Son or are you still in rebellion?
    • If you’ve embraced Jesus, be diligent about extending God’s invitation to others this season
