This Sunday is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday and as we reflect on our Kingdom life, we consider God’s perspective on all human life from conception through death and what that means for us as Kingdom citizens.

We Must Join God in Valuing All Human Life

  • God, Our King, Deeply  Values All Human Life
    • God declares there is sacred weight to every human life because we’re made in His image (Genesis 1:26-27, 9:1-7)
    • God treasures us and we must treasure one another
  • As Kingdom Citizens, We Must Support and Defend the Life of the Unborn
    • Our responsibility begins the moment an egg is fertilized (Psalm 139:13-16, et al)
    • The church has always been concerned for the unborn
    • Get involved – pray, serve, give, advocate, minister (CareNet)
  • As Kingdom Citizens, We Must Support and Defend the Life of the Already Born
    • We must take a holistic view of defending life that encompasses all of life
    • We must commit ourselves to the biblical heart of Christ for t hose around us who are suffering and/or vulnerable (Matthew 11:4-5, James 1:27, Matthew 25, Old Testament Prophets)
    • Get involved!
  • What if you have failed to support or defend life? There is hope in the Gospel (1 John 1:9)!
