We come to the fourth Sunday of advent and consider God’s promise of Immanuel, “God With Us”. It’s an extraordinary truth we quickly become overly accustomed to – that because of Christmas, God was suddenly with Israel in a new way, and because of the cross, God is now with all of us who embrace Christ as Savior. We who are in Him are united with Him and it changes everything!
