Debbi joined the staff at LRBC in 2014, after serving as Ministry Assistant for eight years at another Northern Virginia Baptist Church in Fairfax County. Coming to Lake Ridge felt like coming home. She is proud to be a Marine-brat, and having moved to the area when she was in fourth grade considers herself close enough to be called a native. She spent 4th, 5th and 6th grade on base at Quantico but her family moved to Woodbridge for the remainder of her middle-school and high-school years.
Debbi's mother is a retired teacher from Fairfax County. After Debbi's father retired from the service, he later also retired from Northern Virginia Community College where he taught in the Information Technology program. Debbi is thrilled to follow in her parents' footsteps. She holds a bachelor's degree from Strayer in Computer Information Systems and teaches part-time at NVCC Woodbridge.
Most of all, Debbi finds great joy in assisting in the ministries of the Church. Her favorite scripture is the promise of Galatians 3: 26-29: "So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
