• Jesus Miraculously Fed Thousands In a Desert Place (verses 1-13)
  • The ministry of Jesus was thriving in Galilee (verses 1-4)
  • Jesus challenged His disciples to solve a problem (verses 5-9)
  • Jesus provided an abundant feast (verses 10-13)
• In that Passover Season, Jesus Connected His Mission to the Exodus
  • The powerful meaning of this miracle is rooted in the first Passover
  • Jesus came to lead a new and even better Exodus!
  • The new exodus will be abundant and comprehensive, like Jesus’ provision
• The Crowd Understood AND Misunderstood Jesus’ Role as Messiah (verses 14-15)
  • The crowd instantly understood the Exodus connection (verse 14)
  • However, they only though in earthly terms (verse 15)
