We celebrate the eve of Christmas by reflecting on the joy of two godly senior citizens, devoted watchmen appointed by God to sing of the joy of the arrival of Christ. When Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus arrive at the temple in Jerusalem, 40 days after Christmas, Simeon and Anna embrace Jesus and proclaim the joy of all He came to usher in.
