This Sunday we continue our series on “Living By Grace” as we explore the wonders of Ephesians 2: 1-10. In this week’s verses we encounter some amazing truths about both our present and future as believers in Jesus Christ.

Through God’s Kindness We Live by Grace Now and Forever

1. God’s Kindness Enables Us to Live by Grace Every Day (verse 6)
   1. Verse 6 -Our Present Exaltation
      We are raised with Christ and seated with Him in heaven – right now
   2. Our Status in Christ
      This describes our present exalted status (James 1:9), regardless of our worldly circumstance.
   3. Our Identity in Christ
      This verse is about more than our status, it’s about our identity. We are not defined by the world’s opinion, we are defined by Christ (Galatians 2: 20).
2. God’s Kindness Ensures We’ll Live by Grace Forever (Verse 7)
   1. Verse 7 – Our Future Glory
      We’re raised for a purpose – for God to display his infinite grace (unmerited gifts) toward us forever
   2. Our Future in Christ
      Heaven isn’t going to be harps or endless church – we will be day after day in God’s immeasurable grace. Every situation in this life, good or bad, is temporary. What is permanent are the riches of God’s grace.
