Like the Shepherds, Let’s Hear, Respond, and Rejoice

  • Hear the Good News of Christmas
    – This was a royal birth announcement. Verse 11 explains the specific “good news” through 3 titles: Savior, Christ, Lord

    • We have a Savior – Long anticipated (since Genesis 3: 15)
    • Christ has come – The rightful and eternal king has come to rescue us (Ezekiel 34: 22-24)
    • The Lord is with us – God is present to care for and nurture us (Ezekiel 34: 15-16)
  • Respond to God’s Good News
    • The shepherds responded to the invitation (verses 12, 15-16)
    • How do you need to respond this Christmas?
      • Accept Jesus as Savior?
      • Accept Jesus as King of your life?
      • Draw nearer to God?
  • Rejoice this Christmas!
    • The shepherds went away overflowing with joy – praising and glorifying as the angels had earlier
    • What was announced that night is true in 2018 – good news for ALL the people
