- The Gospel Advanced Through Paul’s Imprisonment (verses 12-14)
- When Paul was imprisoned it gave him Gospel access to different people
- Paul’s imprisonment inspired many others to boldly advance the Gospel
- The Gospel Advanced Through Church Rivalries and Conflicts (verses 15-18a)
- Paul’s imprisonment got people in the church preaching from bad motives
- Paul rejoices anyway because the Gospel was getting proclaimed!
- Never Let Defeat Stop Your Gospel Work!
- The Gospel is truly about God’s ultimate victory through obvious defeat (not in spite of it)
- Don’t give up in the face of defeat – advance the Gospel
