The Last Supper continues on Thursday night of the Week that Changed the World. As the meal took place, Jesus made known this wasn’t just any Passover celebration. How was this night different from every other night? This was the ultimate fulfillment of all that Passover meant!

Christ, Our Passover Lamb, Leads Us to Freedom in God’s Kingdom
- Celebrating God’s Redemption and Freedom
- Jesus and His disciples celebrated Passover (verse 14)
- Jesus eagerly anticipated this particular Passover (verse 15)
- He was about to become the ultimate Passover lamb
- And taught the symbols of the covenant that leads His followers on an exodus to freedom from sin and death into God’s Kingdom
- Jesus is the Ultimate Passover Lamb (verses 16, 19)
- Verse 16, 1 Corinthians 5: 7 – Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed
- The Passover in Exodus 12 parallels the crucifixion of Christ
- Verse 19 – Christ’ s body was given for us
- Christ Leads Us to Freedom in God’s Kingdom
- At Passover, God led His people to freedom and established the covenant of Law
- God established the New Covenant through the ultimate Passover (verse 20)
- We anticipate the second Exodus to our promised inheritance in God’s Kingdom (verses 17-18)
