I know we have Christmas Eve, still to go, but here’s what’s up for Sunday! 2020 was a year that made sure we didn’t harbor any illusions about being in control. It underscored the truth of James’ cautionary word against planning as if we were. Indeed, we truly don’t know what tomorrow will bring!

- 2020 was a vivid reminder of the truth of verses 13-14 – we don’t know our future
- Our lives are like the beautiful but short-lived fog of a cool morning – that isn’t bad, but it’s important to understand
- Make Plans, But in Submission to God’s Will
- The answer isn’t to give up, it’s to submit to God’s will (verses 15-16)
- To plan otherwise is sin (verse 17)
